Heritage Education Group

Workshop at Braintree Museum

The Heritage Education Group (HEG) is open to anyone working or volunteering in heritage education in Essex, including museums, heritage centres, parks, libraries, churches etc. It meets quarterly, at different venues around the county.

May’s meeting will be focussed on planning a “STEAM Thinkspace” event, bringing together museums and teachers to build new relationships and promote our venues and collections in the delivery of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (connected to the Essex 2020: Year of Science and Creativity).

We will also be joined by Kathy Moore, who will be giving us an update on what is happening at SHARE, and hearing about upcoming support from the Museum Development Officer for becoming “Autism Friendly”.

If you would like to join us, please email amy.cotterill@essex.gov.uk

Dates of Future meetings:

  • Monday 23rd September 2019
  • Thursday 23rd January 2020

Please let Amy know if you are able to host.
