SHARE Museums East supports excellence, resilience and cooperative working in museums in the East of England. SHARE is funded by Arts Council England (ACE) to support museums in the East of England within ACE’s Accreditation scheme.
Their programme has been developed in consultation and collaboration with the sector. It is flexible, responds to need and is designed for museums of all sizes. Their collaborative approach ensures regions’ needs are responded to as well as building an awareness of its excellence on a national level.
SHARE Museums East support museums in the following ways:
- Specialist advice and support (including, but not limited to, audiences, collections and Accreditation, resilience and leadership)
- Provision of training courses
- Projects such as the Mystery Shopper Scheme and the annual Volunteer Awards
- Grant funding
- Facilitation of networks
To be eligible for SHARE grants your museum needs to be in the Accreditation scheme (either full Accreditation or Working Towards). Places on training programmes are prioritised for museums which are Accredited or officially Working Towards Accreditation. You may be able to attend if you are not in the Accreditation scheme though a fee may apply.
